My name is Michalis Efthymiou, I am a graduate of Architecture from the London South Bank University in 2010 (P.G.Dip Architecture) and Plymouth University in 2008 ((B.A. Architecture) with more than ten years of experience since my graduation, of which almost ten years as a member of the Technical Chamber of Cyprus. Prior to my architectural studies, I have obtained a B.A. in Interior Design from Intercollege, Nicosia. Between 2010 and 2016 I have worked in one of the highest emerging architectural offices in Cyprus, contributing in many successful competitions and working on important projects such as the Engineering School of the University of Cyprus, as well as other residential, commercial and educational projects. During my work experience, I was responsible for or contributed to the design phase of projects, detail preparations, site visits, monitoring & implementation, coordination of contractors & subcontractors and 3d modeling. At my last employment, I was part of the design team for the new shops of the biggest coffee chains in Cyprus and in charge of the maintenance of the already established network of 40 branded coffee shops. Working in such a big company I have become accustomed to corporate practices and understand the importance of guidelines, hierarchy and the significance of working interdepartmental. Currently, I work as a freelance architect on architectural projects, furniture design and interior design as well as art & art experimentation. I am an active architect with a hands-on approach, enthusiastic and keen to learn new methods, new materials, new approaches and fully computer literate. I work efficiently both as part of a team as well as individually and follow professional approaches with one goal in mind; to deliver the expected task in the best possible way within the timeframe.
