I have embedded this description with questions to make sure it is fully read. Please answer them in your bid. You need a strong background in mechanical systems control and Matlab.
I have collected some slides however the slides need to be reworked properly. The slides are connected with two labs:
1) System Identification
2) Feedback and control systems
if you can find these lab explained in an OCW share with me the link.
Your job is to go through these two labs and collect any corresponding material theory then place it in an organized slide presentation.
Your main concern is:
Explain all the theory in the slides to undergraduate level student. Assume the student has no background i.e. be very simple, be concise but efficient.
Recommend a textbook with 1 or 2 chapters discussing those lab topics.
Lab 1
Exploration of system identification and parameter estimation.
Analyze static, frequency response, and transient tests of a DC motor and determine its relevant parameters, namely its time constant ? and steady-state gain ?.
Several calculations of these parameters using the different experiments and compare the results.
Lab 2
Control of the angular position of a load shaft connected to a DC motor. It will analyze data from PV and PIV control systems for the DC motor. As applied for step and ramp responses, determine the control law performance metrics such as steady-state error, peak time, and peak overshoot. Explore these ideas with both a simulated system and hardware.
