I am a production supervisor and every day I am at work I must make a new schedule to consistently stay 14 days out on schedules that are made in advance. We have three separate color groups of employees on 3 different shifts. The color groups are Red, yellow, and Blue and the shifts are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Each color group has eight employees on it. This means we have a total of 24 employees on each shift and grand total of 72 employees in the department. In most situations we have two color groups working each shift, except on Wednesdays when all three-color groups are working.
