Main task was to create a twitter tweet parser which would go throu provided keywords one by one searching for tweets added that day. Operation is repeated in 60 minutes interval (Cron jobs). Calculations of result being made and data is stored in google datastore.

Client need this data for analysis in particular field. For example if tweet increase is seen on some keywords then presumptions about soon to happen events can be made.

Everything is deployed on google app engine. Client can easly adjust cron job interval, view data and complete other operations via dashboard.

Twitter tweet parsing and analysis

Main task was to creating ebay scraper that can take input of *.csv file with multiple keywords and ebay sellers.

Managment of scraper is done via web cms.

After *.csv files with keywords and sellers uploaded scraper sends requests to ebay API for each keyword filtering only sellers that was specified in sellers *.csv file. From each response required data is grabbed and new *.xlsx file generated on server.

User is displayed with download button to download new generated *.xlsx file after scraping is done on cms.

Cloud based ebay scraper

Main task was to create spiders that would mine new data(prices,descriptions, sku etc..) from 47 ecommerce websites each week for price comparison website.

Build spiders on prefered time interval crawling specified ecommerce sites and gathering all new product data. All data being cleaned and stored on database. On this project there was used complex technologies for scraping data from Ajax/Javascript based sites.

Second part of project was daily spider that would detect if any product price changed. If found new price database would update.

Created custom CMS for controling all spiders (run, schedule etc..). Viewing, editing,deleting mined data.

Used: Scrapy, Django frameworks, Selenium WebDriver, Python 2.7

Scrapy Spiders

Main task was to create PowerPoint data parser and data processing abilities.

Summary:
User can set folders to scan for *.PPTX files. Folder can be on cloud servers or local. Code locates all *.PPTX files and parses data from all files. Parsed data(titles, text, meta data, notes text, bullet points etc..) then cleaned and prepared for export. Export made to *.csv. On settings file user can specify export preferences. Export file can be stored on cloud servers or only local.
