I am an electronic engineer (Master's Degree) with over ten years of experience in designing power electronic systems and embedded systems. I worked for important Italian companies as a Hardware Designer, as you can see on my Linkedin profile [login to view URL]. I have also experienced with schematic, layout, and simulation of electronic circuits with KiCAD, OrCAD, ALTIUM, and PROTEUS. Generally, I route boards up to 8 layers with a CPU unit onboard that controls signal actuation, receives signals from sensors, and communicates with different peripherals. We are talking about boards ranging from 50 to 200 components both SMD and PTH, and connectors of various types. I have experience in programming on STM32 and ARDUINO, ESP32 platforms, and smart displays. I have been dealing with communication protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, RS232, USB, etc. I have experience in MATLAB and MATHEMATICA programming. I worked in pack battery development, fuel gauge fine-tuning, and wireless charger station for embedded portable devices. I worked on developing a wireless charger platform for handheld devices up to 50 Watts ( inductive and resonance coupling). I have experience in RAMS Analysis (FMEA, DFMEA, PHA, FTA, LCC, etc) in the railway and automotive field. Experience in Montecarlo simulations and WCA electronic circuits. Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Mathematica. Experience in drafting technical and scientific documentation. I am a co-author of 4 scientific publications.

Modeling of Equipment Susceptibility in the Presence of Voltage Dip Sequences
IEEE
This paper analyses the equipment susceptibility to multiple voltage dips and short interruptions, which often originate from switching time sequences of automation and reconfiguration actions adopted in smart grids. The paper introduces a general trellis model, which allows to calculate the relevant quantities of equipment response in terms of shutdown probability to the sequences of voltage dips of assigned characteristics, assuming that the hypotheses of equipment “lack of memory” are true.
On Supply Reliability and Voltage Quality in the presence of feeder automation in MV Smart Grids
IEEE
Analysis of Supply Reliability and Voltage Quality (SR/VQ) in the presence of feeder automation in MV Smart Grids (SG) is addressed. After some recalls about methodological aspects, some feeder automation techniques adopted in Italy for fault detection and isolation are described. Then, models of the different automation procedures for a simple test system are developed. Numerical analyses aimed to evaluate SR/VQ indices for the different automation techniques are performed.
Supply interruptions and voltage dips in smart distribution systems with feeder automation
IEEE
This paper analyses the impact of smart grid (SG) automation and reconfiguration functionalities on supply interruptions and voltage dips due to faults in medium voltage (MV) distribution systems. The analysis is illustrated using feeder automation and reconfiguration techniques adopted in Italy for fault detection and isolation, with reference to a simple MV homogeneous and symmetrical test network.
