Scope of Work: WooCommerce Site Visual and Responsive Enhancements
We are seeking a skilled WooCommerce designer/developer to refresh our website with updated visuals and ensure optimal performance and appearance across various devices. The goal is to enhance our site’s aesthetic while making sure it provides a seamless user experience on desktops, tablets, and mobiles.
Scope of Work
1. Front Page Slider Update
- Slider Revolution Integration: Implement a new set of slider images and text into the Slider Revolution plugin (images and text provided).
- Device Optimization: Adjust and test each slider image for responsiveness to ensure clarity and smooth transitions on all devices, including mobile and tablet.
- Testing: Verify slider functionality, including timing and responsiveness, to guarantee a consistent experience across various screen sizes.
2. General Cosmetic Updates
- Newsletter Image Update: Replace the current newsletter image with a new design, ensuring it displays correctly and attractively across different devices. You will need to create the image yourself in line with the site design.
- Front Page Image Refresh: Replace a couple of images with animated gifs (or similar) on the front page to enhance visual appeal, ensuring each image is optimized for mobile and desktop displays. You will need to create the images inline with the website design.
- Minor Aesthetic Adjustments: Make small layout adjustments, such as padding, margin, and button styles, to improve the site’s appearance and usability on a range of screen sizes.
3. Product Filtering Enhancement
- Enhance product filter on the WooCommerce Shop page and custom pages using AJAX-based filtering. Plugins such as WooCommerce Product Filter, FacetWP, or YITH WooCommerce Ajax Product Filter can be used or customised options may be considered.
- The custom page displays over 10,000 products from a particular vendor and requires a purpose built filter to allow users to target the product of interest.
4. Responsive Design Optimization
- Cross-Device Compatibility: Ensure all updates and existing site features are fully responsive, providing a consistent user experience on desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Mobile-Friendly Layouts: Adjust elements that may not display well on smaller screens, such as navigation menus, image scaling, and text alignment, to improve mobile usability.
- Testing Across Devices: Conduct thorough testing to confirm that all pages, images, and interactive elements (e.g., sliders, buttons) work well on various screen sizes and browsers.
5. Site Review
- Complete a review of the site and identify areas that can be improved to moderise the site. Payment for these extras items will be discussed as variations to this scope fo work.
The selected designer/developer will help us modernise our site to be more engaging and professional to match our socially responsible, luxury product target market.
