I am looking for an experienced professional to help with a series of IT tasks related to Microsoft 365 and Azure services. The key deliverables for this project include:
Physical AD to M365 Azure AD Connect, Migration & Monitoring:
- Set up and configure Azure AD Connect for synchronization with the physical Active Directory (AD).
- Migrate users, groups, and policies from the physical AD to Azure AD.
- Ensure all currently configured Group Policy Objects (GPOs) are replicated and functioning properly in Azure AD.
- Provide ongoing monitoring and reporting.
File Server to SharePoint Migration:
- Conduct an evaluation of the current physical file server to inventory files and data.
Design a SharePoint structure that mirrors the existing file server’s setup and migration plan.
- Perform the migration of files from the physical file server to SharePoint.
FIDO2 Implementation:
- Configure Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD) and set up policies for FIDO2 authentication.
- Roll out FIDO2 keys (30 keys in total) for secure user authentication.
Data Classification:
- Map out requirements for data classification and create necessary policies.
- Implement and roll out labels for classifying data within the organization.
Microsoft Intune Configuration:
- Create and configure policies for device management using Microsoft Intune, including:
- Compliance policies
- Configuration policies
- App protection policies
- Conditional access policies
- Device restriction policies
- Set up integration between Azure AD and Microsoft Intune.
- List common use cases and industry-recommended device profiles for different platforms to configure settings like Wi-Fi, VPN, email, and encryption.
- Review and optimize the policies for managing applications, including deployment, updates, and restrictions.
Microsoft Defender Implementation:
- Review internal applications, scripts, and whitelist for security purposes.
- Configure Microsoft Defender threat protection, including device management, data protection, and web content filters.
- Review existing security settings and roll out alert rules to ensure proper protection.

- FIDO2 Authentication, Microsoft Entra
- Data classification, Microsoft Defender
- File Server Migration, GPOs Management
- Experience with configuring device management policies and security features in the Microsoft ecosystem

The project tasks should be completed within 1-3 months. Provide weekly progress updates. Weekly progress updates should be conducted via video call. The primary goal is to achieve seamless system integration across all Microsoft 365 and Azure services. The priority order of the tasks should start with the Azure AD Connect setup and configuration. After setting up Azure AD Connect, the next priority is SharePoint Migration. Advanced post-implementation support will be required, including troubleshooting complex issues and optimizing system performance.
