AWS Solution Architect

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to design and deliver scalable, resilient, and highly available cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in core AWS architecture and a background in designing solutions that integrate communication capabilities such as calls, SMS, and email services. This role will be essential in helping us drive digital transformation by leveraging AWS’s capabilities to build robust solutions that meet our business and customer needs. Key Responsibilities: Solution Architecture and Design Design and implement scalable, high-performance AWS architectures tailored to business requirements. Develop architectures that enable communications, including making calls, sending SMS, and delivering emails using AWS and third-party communication services. Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical solutions that align with business goals. Communication Service Integration Architect solutions using AWS services or third-party APIs (e.g., Amazon SNS, Amazon Pinpoint, Twilio) for real-time notifications, SMS, email, and voice calls. Optimize the use of communication APIs and design effective workflows that enhance communication reliability and user engagement. Ensure that solutions for email, SMS, and calls adhere to compliance and regulatory standards, such as GDPR and TCPA. Scalability and Performance Design systems and workflows that scale efficiently to handle high volumes of traffic and data. Apply best practices in scalability, performance optimization, and load balancing to support a global user base. Implement auto-scaling, load balancing, and caching strategies to ensure optimal performance of solutions under high loads. Security and Compliance Apply AWS security best practices, including IAM, VPC configurations, data encryption, and secure API gateways. Conduct regular security assessments and ensure that all solutions adhere to industry standards and compliance requirements. Manage access control policies and ensure data protection practices are in place for communication services. Collaboration and Documentation Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, development, and product teams, to design solutions that meet end-user requirements. Document architecture decisions, solution designs, and operational workflows for scalability and easy knowledge transfer. Provide training and knowledge-sharing sessions with technical teams and stakeholders. Requirements: Education and Experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role, with a focus on AWS cloud services and communication technologies. Technical Skills AWS Core Services: Strong expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudFront, and CloudWatch. Communication APIs: Hands-on experience with services like Amazon SNS, Amazon Pinpoint, or third-party communication platforms (e.g., Twilio, SendGrid, SES). Scalability Best Practices: Proficient in designing architectures for high availability, redundancy, and auto-scaling. Security and Compliance: Knowledge of IAM, security groups, KMS, and regulatory standards related to communication services (e.g., GDPR, TCPA). Interpersonal Skills Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design cost-effective, reliable, and scalable solutions. Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills to ensure clarity in architectural decisions and solution designs. Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Certified Security Specialty. Experience with additional AWS services for advanced analytics or machine learning, such as AWS Lambda, Athena, and Redshift. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform. Time Commitment: Working Hours: 3–5 hours per day, with availability ideally between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM IST for requirement gathering, plus an additional 1–2 hours dedicated to crafting user stories. Weekly Commitment: Up to 25–30 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
