Mobile Optimized Data Input Website for Machinery Inspection in a Chemical Plant

Data Input: The application is designed to allow inspectors to input data pertaining to their inspections of various machinery types to include, boilers, condensers, tanks etc. Input Field Types: The data input form will need to incorporate a variety of field types. This includes drop-down menus, checkboxes, and text fields. User Interface Design: Since this application will be used in the field by plant inspectors, an intuitive and user-friendly design is essential. Data Input Systems: Dashboards/widgets that plant operators will be able to visualize the plant inspection process as it is being conducted as well as instant visibility of equipment types, ID and what the issue is that requires repair. Once the repair has been made and the unit has been re-inspected a change in status will move from non-certified to certified. This can be done with color coding, red= requires repair/inspection failure, yellow=service is underway & green=service has been completed and the unit has been inspected and cleared for use. Reporting: Both the inspector & the plant operator will need to be able to generate inspection reports as well as converting to PDF or printing. Further, the Inspector will need to be able to email the report, archive the report as well as have a push notification feature that sends a text as a unit fails inspection. (All of the various equipment types are already defined in XLS rows and tables) . In the admin, the inspector will need to be able to layout a client dashboard with the ability to add additional equipment types, ID, possible repair requirement, inspection date, and the day and time that the unit is certified for use. There will also need to be an overall dashboard with visuals for % inspections completed, # of repairs found, # of repairs completed, etc. Summary: This application will be designed where it is a workspace whereby inspectors are able to layout their dashboard, which will give real-time visibility to the plant operator so that the plant operator can begin to repair the damaged unit as quickly as possible. The Operator will be sent a link which will give them visibility to the entire summary of the inspection process as it is occurring.
