As a geologist involved in the exploration of epithermal gold deposits, my career has been marked by a significant engagement with the geotechnical and geological engineering sectors. My skills are diverse, encompassing environmental geology, the identification and mitigation of geologic hazards, alongside robust research and development practices. My field mapping expertise and knowledge in environmental engineering have been pivotal in the successful implementation of projects focused on slope protection measures and comprehensive risk assessments against geologically non-conducive environments, spanning from pre-event planning to post-event analysis. My work integrates terrain analysis for sustainable land development, emphasizing slope stability and the design of effective stabilization solutions. This involves leveraging first-hand experience with geosynthetic materials to enhance soil integrity and ensure slope stability, crucial for minimizing the impact of landslides and enhancing maintenance and resiliency in geo-hazard prone areas. My approach to solving complex geological problems is rooted in a detailed root cause analysis, supported by my expertise in applying various Geophysical Methods such as electrical resistivity, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), seismic techniques, and electromagnetics. These methods are instrumental in geotechnical applications, allowing for a thorough assessment of subsurface conditions and target areas, with a keen eye on the environmental correlations to material degradation. This holistic approach to geological sciences not only underscores my commitment to advancing the field through innovative solutions to pressing environmental and geotechnical challenges but also reflects my dedication to contributing valuable insights and methodologies that enhance our understanding and management of the earth's resources and hazards.
