Python Barcode-Based Label Printing System

Product Label Printing System This Python application is designed to import product data from Excel files, scan product barcodes (or manually input product codes), and generate and print labels that include product information along with QR codes. The system uses Tkinter for the GUI, Pandas for data manipulation, SQLite for storing product data, QR Code generation with the qrcode library, and ReportLab to generate PDF labels. Additionally, Win32 APIs are used for printing the labels. Core Features: Import Product Data from Excel: The user can import product information from an Excel file (either .xlsx or .xls format). The Excel file should contain the order number in cell B1, and the product data starts from row 3 (ignoring the first two rows). The product data should have columns for product code, quantity, and price. The data is then inserted into an SQLite database ([login to view URL]), with each product having an associated order_number, product_name, quantity, and price. Scan Listener: The application listens for barcode scans using the keyboard (simulating barcode scanner input). When a product code is scanned (or typed), the application looks up the product in the SQLite database and displays the information in a graphical interface. The application generates a product label with the product’s details and a corresponding QR code. Manual Input: The user can manually input the product code via a dialog box. After entering the product code, the system will search the database for that product and display the label. Label Generation: For each scanned or manually input product, a label is created. The label contains: Order Number Product Code Quantity Price A QR Code containing product details. The label is drawn on a Tkinter canvas for visualization and saved as a PDF using the ReportLab library. Printing the Label: Once the label is created, it can be printed on the default printer. The label is sent to the printer as a PDF document. Application Workflow: The user clicks "Import Table" to select and import product data from an Excel file. The system automatically processes the data and inserts it into the SQLite database. The user can either: Scan a barcode, which triggers the lookup of the product in the database and generates the label. Manually input a product code, which also generates the label based on the code. The label is displayed on a Tkinter canvas and printed using the default printer.
