Subject: Development Needs Overview: We are seeking an update to our website's event submission system to enhance the experience for internal users (artists) when creating events. Specifically, we're using The Events Calendar plugin suite and need to make changes to the image selection process. Plugins Involved: Main Plugin: Tribes Event Calendar - [login to view URL] Internal Plugin: Community Calendar - [login to view URL] Project Details: Objective: To modify the existing event submission form for internal users (artists) by adding a more user-friendly image selection process that includes: The ability to choose images from a categorized internal gallery. The option to upload custom images. Currently, the featured image uploader is functional, but there's no option to select from an existing library. We want to enhance this feature. Details of the Changes Needed: Image Selection Module: Modify the current image uploader located at: /home/paint270/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/modules/[login to view URL] Add a feature for users to choose an event image from a library of pre-uploaded images. This library will be paginated (e.g., 10 images per page) for better usability. Upon selection, the chosen image should automatically become the featured image for the event being submitted. Users should also have an option to upload a custom image if needed. Categorization of the Image Library: The image selection should feature subfolders for better organization. For example: Nature & Seasons > Summer, Winter, Fall, Spring Holidays > Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day, Christmas The selection process should include radio button thumbnails for easier visualization and selection of the images. Community Event Submission Form: The existing submission form located at: /home/paint270/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/[login to view URL] When an artist submits the event, the image they selected should automatically populate the ‘featured image’ field of the event. Event Approval: Currently, all submitted events are set to "pending" status by default. We need either: An email notification sent when new events are pending, or To change the default setting to automatically publish events upon submission (bypassing pending). Administrative Features: Image Library Management for Admins: The featured image library should be independent of the website’s general media library. Admins need the ability to: Add New Categories & Subcategories: Flexibility to create new themes or folders as needed. Upload Images in Bulk: We need a bulk upload feature that allows admins to easily add multiple images and categorize them. This is crucial for the initial population of the gallery. Summary of Key Requirements: Edit the current image submission form to allow internal users to select images from a pre-organized gallery or upload their own. Organize the image library into subfolders for easy navigation and selection. Add an administrative feature to manage and populate the image library, including bulk upload capability. Improve the event approval workflow by either automating publication or adding email notifications for pending events.
