FIRMWARE DEVELOPER NEEDED FOR GYRO (LIBRARY) REPLACEMENT WITHIN EXISTING CODE BASE (BASED ON MBEDOS)

In a custom board based on ARM mbedOS and nrf52840 I am currently using the MPU9250 gyro with a custom, event-based gesture recognition algorithm to identify user gestures like shaking, tapping etc. This gyro is now EOL and will be replaced with the ST LSM6DSOX which includes also a machine learning core. For the LSM6DSOX there is already a library/driver existing for mbedOS which allows to access the basic embedded functions of the gyro like sleep and wake, single tap detection, double tap, tilt detection, orientation detection (6D), step detection and step counting, significant motion detection, and free-fall detection. There is also another great custom library example which is showcasing how to use custom gestures /FSM ([login to view URL]) on the mentioned gyro. For this project I need the following topics to be developed/changed/modified:  Adjust the library/driver to be accessible via I2C from my mbedOS project  Read the interrupts from the gyro (both interrupt pins are connected) to detect activities  Use the LSM6DSOX FSM (finite-state-machine) to Identify embedded gestures/motion/functions like sleep and wake, single tap detection, double tap, tilt detection, orientation detection (6D), step detection and step counting, significant motion detection, and free-fall (see link)  Use the LSM6DSOX FSM to Identify CUSTOM gestures (see FSM example from link above)  Implement an event-based interpretation of the identified gestures in the application logic so gesture recognition is running in its own thread.  Remove all unneeded files/code from the previous MPU9250 implementation Information about mbedOS: [login to view URL] Information about the Gyro: [login to view URL] For this project it would be necessary to understand event-based gyro handling and that you have experience with mbedOS and ideally with the above-mentioned hardware. The hardware will NOT be provided but I can give remote access to the custom board for testing. The deliverable will be the working and documented code implementation.
