Hi, I want a way of tracking when several organisations make a new press release. As not all of them offer an RSS feed, I need a freelancer to write and deploy a python bot to do this for me. The python bot will do the following: 1) Visit a list of websites (e.g. press release pages) from the provided csv 2) Save each of the webpages in MySQL (1st saves) 3) Revisit the websites after a scheduled time gap (e.g. 24 hours) 4) Save each of the pages again (2nd saves) 5) Compare First saves vs Second saves and extract the difference 6) Compile and arrange the differences into a single webpage for viewing 7) Email this compiled webpage 8) Repeat the process for 3rd, 4th, 5th saves (and deleting previous saves) 9) Deploy and test this code in AWS In bidding, please tell/show me the following: (a) that you understand what I want or that you have an alternative suggestion on how to do it (b) how long it will take you to do it and (c) the exact bid for how much it will cost you. I am afraid but I will only consider bids that address these 3 points. Please don't ask me my budget for the project. Happy bidding

Hi there, A.) So you basically need a system which will check if there is any new news release on the mentioned website and then save them in DB. I will create this as an django application. Why Django? this way it will be easy to manage database for you using django admin. Method how to it I already have idea for that. B.) It should take about 3-4 days. or maybe less than that. I can show you demo of single website so that you can check if it is ok or not. C.) Exact bid I have already metnioned in my bid ammount. 150 £. Looking for you response.

Hi, I have a slightly different proposal. I can provide this as a service to you. I write scraper scripts in PHP. So my PHP scripts will be scheduled to run everyday at a pre designated time on my server. Once it finds a difference in a website, it will store the details in a database table. Once all the scrapers are completed, another script will run which will combine all the differences and send a consolidated report to you over email. Like I said, this will run as a service and hence for a monthly fee of 50GBP, you will have a surety of continued support for this script. In the other case, if the website layout changes, the scraper will break and you will no longer have a working alert system. If you prefer to run this system on your server itself, without the monthly support, I can do the same for 250 GBP one time fee. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! PS: I didn't find any csv attachment, so I am not sure how many sites are in the scope here. If you can send me, I can check them and provide a sample.
