In January 2017, I obtained my PhD in Radar and Multispectral Remote Sensing, precisely on soil salinity modeling and mapping using RADAR, optical remote sensing, GIS and Geostatistical modeling. I have worked on several projects: modeling and mapping of soil salinity, Precision agriculture of potatoes using optical and thermal imagery from drones for water stress characterization; Automatic detection of Colorado potato beetles in potato crops using imagery acquired from drones; Ice jam forecasting using GIS and remote sensing; and Mapping the environmental effectiveness of riparian buffers using remote sensing and GIS. I have over 10 years' experience in GIS and remote sensing and over 7 years' experience in scientific/technical report writing and over 5 years' experience in grant writing. My research and development interests include the development of GIS/remote sensing and geomatics applications for environmental and geographical monitoring. kevesebb
