False matches are eliminated using windowing and morphological operators.

The proposed method uses a two-step process: Step 1 classifies images as forged or authentic using Optimized Support Vector Machine (OSVM). If forged, Step 2 pinpoints forged regions via block matching. Steerable Pyramid Transform (SPT) decomposes the image, and GLCM features are extracted for classification.
