Honorable mention for the publication of the article on sustainable alternatives for the production of a bioproduct

Growing environmental concerns have spurred research into utilizing agroindustrial waste for producing biosurfactants—microbial metabolites with versatile industrial applications. These eco-friendly compounds offer low toxicity, high stability, and biodegradability, standing out as alternatives to chemical surfactants. This study explores biosurfactant production by Aureobasidium using biodiesel-derived residual glycerol, showing promising growth and surfactant activity on tested carbon sources.

The ECONOTEEN Project, by FEA-USP's Economics Department, connects the university with society by introducing economic concepts to public high school students in São Paulo. In 2021, the theme "Effects of the coronavirus pandemic on Brazilian education" emphasized the economic impact of social distancing and learning challenges. I ranked 25th in a competitive selection, making this writing process a key milestone in my personal and academic growth.
