We are looking for a freelancer to create a staging environment for our Magento 2 website using provided production data. The task involves setting up the staging site on a dedicated server with proper URL configuration, frontend protection, and database handling.
Project Scope:
Staging Environment Setup:
Set up the Magento 2 staging site on our provided server with a dedicated domain.
Configure the URLs to match the staging domain (we will provide the domain and URLs).
Password-protect the frontend to prevent public access.
Data Handling:
Extract a large 126 GB ZIP file containing the production Magento 2 website files.
Import a 9 GB MySQL database dump into the staging environment. Due to the size, tools like BigDump or another efficient method will be needed to avoid import limitations.
Magento Configuration:
The data is from a Magento multistore setup, but we only need one frontend store active on staging. The other stores can either be removed or assigned random URLs for the staging environment.
Access Provided:
DirectAdmin access, including FTP.
Ability to register your SSH key via DirectAdmin for SSH access.
Access to phpMyAdmin via DirectAdmin for database management.
Data Provided:
A 126 GB ZIP file located in the public_html of the dedicated server for staging containing all Magento 2 site files.
A 9 GB MySQL database dump file, also in the public_html folder.
So the backups are there. You only need to do the install.
Additional Information:
The server is hosted by Vimexx, and due to the size of the database, a straightforward import may not work. We expect you to use a tool like BigDump or any other method to handle the import process.
You must ensure the staging site is fully functional, with correct URLs, and secured from bots and external access via password protection.
