Node.js Backend Developer for an Online Sports Betting Platform

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Backend Developer to enhance and maintain our online sports betting platform. Your responsibilities will include development and maintaining backend APIs and services to support betting functionalities, real-time data processing, and user account management. Our immediate need is to integrate third-party data sources for live sports updates, and scores. Structure the sport feeds to support betting needs and front-end rendering that will deliver optimal user experience. You will also ensure secure data storage and transaction processing, implementing robust data protection and user authentication measures. Collaborate closely with front-end and product teams to design API endpoints that enhance the user experience. Optimize backend performance to handle high volumes of real-time requests. Implement logging, monitoring, and error-handling solutions to ensure system reliability and uptime. Write clean, modular, and well-documented code. Troubleshoot, debug, and improve backend processes. Stay updated on Node.js best practices and relevant technologies in the sports betting industry. Requirements: Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (TypeScript experience is a plus). Experience with API development, integration, and RESTful service architecture. Proficiency in databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data modeling. Familiarity with WebSocket or other real-time data transmission protocols. Understanding of security best practices, especially for transaction-heavy platforms. Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and server management. Knowledge of payment gateway integration is a plus. Good communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. Be Innovative and Resourceful Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in building or maintaining backend systems for sports betting or gaming platforms is preferred, but being innovative and resourceful is highly required. Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with microservices and scalable system architecture.
