I need a QGIS plugin that can read addresses from an Excel sheet (addresses in Denmark, Europe), geomap them using a free geomapping service/plugin (already exists) so they show as dots on a map, and group them into custom map layers based on categories in the Excel spreadsheet.
Key requirements:
1. Importing addresses from Excel to QGIS
2. Geomapping the addresses so they shown on a map as dots on the map.
3. Organizing the locations/dots into layers, grouped by custom categories in the spreadsheet.
4. Changing the color of the map dots based on info on the spreadsheet..
5. Adding an infobox in QGIS, so when a dot on the map is clicked, information originally from the spreadsheet pertaining to that address will show in an info-box in QGIS.
6. Ability to make the plug-in work with a free geomapping plugin that works with Danish addresses to map the location of the addresses contained in the Excel spreadsheet to a map.
7. The plugin should work in both Windows and Linux versions (as they usually do when coded using PyQGIS API/Python, so this is no extra work, but it is still a requirement).
8. Source code must be provided.
9. IP must be handed over.
All the above 1-9 are absolute requirements.
Ideal skills and experience:
- Strong proficiency in QGIS
- Experience with developing QGIS plugins (PyQGIS API, Python)
- Strong understanding of geospatial data
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation (has to be MS Excel, not Google Sheets)
- Be able to explain what is possible and what is not and select the best method, based on knowledge of QGIS
