This project has 3 components regarding the setup and configuration of two Dell Wyse thin/zero clients on VMWare. If you are not familiar with these thin / zero clients, please DO NOT BID as I may award you the work and if you do not have experience with this work, I have no problem leaving according feedback. Dell Wyse 5030 Zero client – setup serial port redirect. We have multiple 5030 devices currently running with no issue. Some of these devices require a serial port for communication to a machine tool which the 5030 does not have but the consideration is that the latest upgrade (v5.5.1) supports serial redirect. I have purchased USB to Serial adapters I would like to use. The current adapter is a generic brand and shows up in the 5030 hardware as connected but I cannot get the adapter to show up or function in Windows 10. Your responsibility is to find a solution to get this configuration working. We currently have a Serial-over-IP adapter which I want to eliminate. Dell Wyse 5070 – Currently functioning with RDP but I want to utilize PCOIP. These are connected via WiFi. I will need to convert from RDP to PCOIP because we are using virtualized graphics form an NVidia K2 and performance on RDP is not optimized for this configuration. I will be adding a few more Wyse 5070s in the future, I will need to make sure I can log a "how to" so I can achieve the upgrade and fix to the other units Lastly, the VMs are disconnecting after a certain period of time. I found there are a few fixes via changing registry. I have not tried this yet but if this solves the problem, then it is not required to fix. If not, I will need your assistance to troubleshoot. Here are the "fixes" that I have investigated (but have not tried yet) Zero client disconnections: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] How the VMWare ESXi server is setup with multiple clients via “Direct Connect” so there is not connection server, all the clients have View Agent Direct-Connection plug-in running which should not have any effect on the setup above but should be noted. This project should take an experienced Dell Wyse / VMWare technician 1-2 hours maximum to troubleshoot. Work can be performed via Teamviewer and availability 4pm-6pm weekdays or any time on the weekend.
