Job Title: Build a Paddy Testing Equipment System (Hardware + Software Development)
Description: We are looking for an experienced freelancer or team to develop a paddy testing equipment system for quality analysis. The system will include hardware (sensors and microcontroller) and software components to measure parameters such as moisture content, weight, and color quality of paddy grains. Additionally, we may require optional enhancements like a database and dashboard.
Key Tasks and Requirements:
1. Hardware Setup:
Components:
Moisture sensor
Load cell (with HX711) for weight measurement
Color sensor or camera for visual quality analysis
Microcontroller (Raspberry Pi or Arduino)
Additional components: breadboard, jumper wires, power supply, etc.
Responsibilities:
Design and set up the hardware system.
Connect sensors to the microcontroller and test individual components.
Ensure the components work properly and troubleshoot wiring or connection issues.
Assemble everything in a functional system.
2. Software Development & Integration:
Responsibilities:
Install and set up the necessary libraries for Raspberry Pi or Arduino.
Libraries like [login to view URL], hx711py, and Adafruit_TCS34725 for the respective sensors.
Develop Python scripts for each sensor (moisture sensor, load cell, and color sensor) and ensure they work individually.
Integrate the sensor scripts into one cohesive program that collects, processes, and displays data.
Validate the system with real paddy samples and refine the logic based on test results.
3. Calibration & Testing:
Responsibilities:
Calibrate each sensor:
Moisture sensor against a reference meter.
Load cell using known reference weights.
Color sensor with good and bad grain samples.
Test the entire system with paddy samples to validate the accuracy and precision of the readings.
Provide documentation or a guide on how to use the equipment and adjust the system.
4. Optional Enhancements (if applicable):
Responsibilities:
Add a database (SQLite/MySQL) to log test results for future reference and analysis.
Create a simple dashboard or GUI to visualize and track paddy quality over time. This could be a web-based interface or a desktop application (e.g., Flask, Tkinter).
Implement IoT features, such as cloud data storage or remote monitoring capabilities.
Skills and Experience Required:
Proficiency in electronics and hardware setup (experience with sensors like moisture sensors, load cells, and color sensors).
Expertise in microcontrollers, particularly Raspberry Pi or Arduino.
Strong experience with Python programming, including sensor integration and data handling.
Familiarity with databases (SQL) and building basic dashboards/GUI (if required).
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
Previous experience with similar projects (portfolio or examples of past work is a plus).
Timeline:
Basic Setup (Hardware + Software): ~7–10 days
Optional Features (Dashboard, IoT, Database): Additional 5–7 days
Budget:
Please provide an estimate based on your experience and the time required to complete the project.
Additional Notes:
Communication will be key throughout the project. Regular updates and feedback will be required.
After successful project completion, we may need continued support for maintenance or future upgrades
Hi, I hope you are doing well. We have working team who can provide whole end to end solution for your project including firmware, software, PCB design, first version prototyping, Mechanical enclosure etc . We have working experience in Embedded development for more than 8 years and worked on various types of controllers and sensors. We have previously worked for a farmer assistance IoT device also for irrigation it was more than just watering mechanism. We understand the complexity of this project. We can discuss further details in chat . Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Hello,
I see your project requirements and we can work on this project and deliver the two parts in 9 days.
