<Technology Description>
This technology makes it easier for vehicle occupant to understand the need for intervention into the driving operation when a car attempts to merge automatically. With this technology, when a car attempts to automatically merge from a traveling lane into merging destination lane, the in-vehicle display displays information about the point at which the attempt to merge will be aborted. Due thereto, the vehicle occupant can visually grasp up to when the attempt to merge in autonomous driving will continue.
