Hello mechanichal engineers,
I need to design a small gasoline Compost Mixer able to mix in a certain layeing path a volume of 1,357 m3 (cubic/cilindric container - 120 cm wide with 120 cm hight) consisting of aprox 80 different random chopped materials (different densities and volumes - grass clippings, plant stalks, branches, twigs, coffee grounds, paper, filters, bags, tea, cardboard, kitchen leftovers, bio waste).
Pile`s weight is aprox. 100 kgs (+20 liters of water). Loading and unloading materials in/from the containers is done 100% manually by fork. Total Mixer`s weight (incl. gasoline motor) will not exceed 100 - 120 kg and 190 cm as height (mandatory lightweight frame on wheels for easy maneuvering on flat surface from one pile to another).
Shaft Concept will have to mix wet materials (and break potential formed chunks) at a 30 rpm speed rate. Spherical Center of the Container (SCC) have an radius of 30 - 33 cm. Please perform mixing simulation by using minim 15 different material shapes (with densities ranged between 0.42 and 1,63 grams/cm3) and only 3 main colours (one for each of the 3 layers). SCC materials can be red coloured, the upper half volume of the empty space left in green and the lower half volume in yellow. Shaft will be considered fully effective when most part of red materials will flow towards bottom of the pile, most part of lower materials (yellow) on top of the pile and most part of upper materials (green) into the middlle.
Once Shaft Effectiveness is approved, you can then design chassis unit components (gears, wheels, distribtion,frame, motor, screw, axes and other custom components). Container can have any shape you want as long as there will be no dead spots while mixing operation is performed.
