We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional legal services and personalized attention to each client. To enhance our capabilities, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Virtual Paralegal to join our team. Key Responsibilities Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing personal injury and labor law cases from intake to resolution. Organize and maintain digital case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and subpoenas. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide updates on case progress. Schedule and confirm meetings, depositions, and court appearances. Research and Drafting: Conduct legal research on personal injury and labor law topics. Draft correspondence, demand letters, and settlement agreements. Administrative Support: Manage case deadlines and ensure timely filings. Assist with billing, time tracking, and preparation of client invoices. Coordinate with medical providers and other third parties to obtain records and reports. Litigation Support: Prepare trial binders and exhibits. Summarize depositions, medical records, and discovery materials. Support attorneys with e-filing in New York State courts. Qualifications Education: Paralegal certification or equivalent legal education. Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a paralegal, preferably in personal injury and/or labor law. Skills: Strong knowledge of New York State court procedures and e-filing systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis). Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software. Attributes: High attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with personal injury medical records and terminology.
