Juniper Firewall NS-50 with ScreenOS 5.x should be configured to NAT a public IP to private IP. The Private IP is the heartbeat ip between two servers. When the servers send packet to internet they should have the same public ip mentioned earlier. Between the firewall and servers i have a cisco catalyst 3550-12T switch. The NICs on the servers are bonded to bond0. Heartbeat is configured and running. all you have to do is configure the juniper,the switch for LACP, and some tuning on the linux boxes if needed

I cannot get OpenVPN to work with our Netscreen50. When I try to connect a client to the server, it will not handshake. The alarm on the Netscreen says "VIP server x.x.x.x is unreachable", so I feel that I do not have something configured right in the Netscreen. Hi there, This is not for money, just for rating. I'm trying to set up a Netscreen 5XP VPN on my windows. Looks like we're stuck at the beginning and can really use some basic pointers. We are using Windows XP with an ADSL connection already set up. The ADSL modem is connected to the NetScreen untrusted port. The Trusted port on the NetScreen is connected to the Ethernet port on the computer. What now? I was thinking that the NetScreen box should be completly transperent, but I was unable to connect to my ADSL and/or log into the WebUI () after it was connected.
