Dedicated SEO and CRO Specialist with Coding Experience for SHC

Job Description:
SHC is seeking a skilled and dedicated SEO and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist to enhance our website's performance and online presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SEO and CRO best practices, coding experience to implement on-site changes, and the ability to develop and execute comprehensive strategies tailored to our business needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Comprehensive SEO and CRO Strategy Development:
Conduct thorough website audits to identify areas for improvement in both search engine optimisation and user conversion pathways.
Develop a detailed plan categorizing tasks into easy, medium, and difficult implementations.
Perform competitor analysis to identify opportunities for traffic growth and conversion enhancements.
2. On-Page Optimisation:
Implement on-site changes to enhance website functionality, user interface, and overall user experience.
Optimise website content, meta tags, and images for improved search engine rankings and user engagement.
Ensure website architecture is optimised for search engine crawlers and user navigation.
3. Technical SEO and CRO:
Utilise coding skills to make necessary technical adjustments that improve site performance and user interactions.
Enhance website speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall functionality.
Ensure proper indexing and crawling by search engines.
4. Content Development and Internal Linking:
Establish an effective internal linking strategy to enhance navigation, SEO, and user journey.
Create and manage a content calendar, including blog posts relevant to our industry, aimed at engaging users and driving conversions.
Collaborate with content creators to produce SEO-friendly and conversion-optimised content.
5. Link Building and Outreach:
Conduct outreach to reputable, industry-relevant websites to acquire high-quality backlinks.
Develop and execute a link-building strategy to improve domain authority and referral traffic.
6. Conversion Rate Optimisation:
Analyse user behavior through tools like heatmaps and session recordings to identify conversion bottlenecks.
Develop and execute A/B tests and multivariate tests to optimise landing pages, calls to action, and overall user experience.
Implement strategies to reduce bounce rates and cart abandonment, enhancing overall conversion rates.
7. Monitoring and Reporting:
Perform regular on-page optimisations to enhance SEO, crawlability, and user engagement.
Monitor website performance using SEO and CRO tools and analytics.
Provide weekly updates and comprehensive monthly reports on SEO and CRO progress and performance metrics.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an SEO and CRO Specialist, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
Proficiency in coding languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and conversion optimisation strategies.
Experience with SEO and CRO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Optimizely, Hotjar).
Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent communication skills for outreach and collaboration.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the home improvement or e-commerce industry.
Familiarity with content management systems (e.g. Shopify).
Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles.
