On site assistance with Access 2000 Project

On-site help required with shared database project (10 front-ends, one server back end, Win2000 & Win XP machines with Win NT4 server). I would like help with error (no number) "Could not save; currently locked by another user". There's plenty of help online for 'Couldn't save' but not 'Could not save'. This error is untrappable and seems to occur when the form showing a datasheet view of some 50,000 telephone records is displaying. The system consists of [login to view URL] on a dedicated workstation and [login to view URL] on the same workstation that reads serial port data from a Toshiba Strata DK280 telephone system and adds records to TelData using a linked table. The data is read by a form in datasheet view on other workstations using TelDisplay.mdb. This uses a link to the same table. The form is opened read-only and does not therefore write to the data. To update the records on the form, a timer interval of 1 min runs code that requeries the form. I'd like to go through the code with an expert for a day.
