Urgent: Camera Operators required in Newcastle & Great Heck/Selby

Salary: From £300.00 per day NMG requires 2 camera operators for a 1-hour live-streamed memorial service for the 2000 Great Heck Rail Disaster (also known as the Selby Rail Crash) - one at Newcastle Railway Station and one at Great Heck Rail Disaster Memorial Garden on Sunday 28th February 2021. Tech spec: An HD camera or HD webcam A microphone (either wireless or on a stand with a long cable) A laptop or other WiFi or data-enabled device A data-enabled internet back-up (eg. a mobile hotspot or a 4G dongle) 'Studio' lights Audio speakers so that the speaker can hear other participants in the memorial service Extension cables or battery power for the camera and microphone The job: Set up a camera, microphone and lights at the agreed spot (2m away from the speaker if possible) early on Feb 28th Connect both the camera and mic to Zoom by 7am for all remote checks Live stream begins at 10am. You may be required to do a site-visit before the event. Relevant skills/experience: experience working in TV or operating a camera for other live events familiar and confident using Zoom and adjusting all its settings able to work independently able to communicate with VIP speakers in a clear, polite and friendly fashion Contract length: 1 day Job date: 28/02/2021 Job Type: Contract Salary: From £300.00 per day COVID-19 considerations: Due to COVID-19 we are looking for somebody local to the area, in order to minimise travel.
