Neil Randall is the author of ten published books (eight novels and two short story collections). He has over fifteen years’ editing, ghost-writing, and proofreading experience. In that time, he’s worked with all kinds of different writers – from first-time authors to the far more established – writing in all kinds of different genres: literary, historical, YA, sci-fi/fantasy, thriller, children’s, etc.
In terms of editing and proofreading, Neil specializes in helping writers truly bring their stories to life. Either by adding that essential professional polish to an advanced draft manuscript, or performing a full developmental edit on a much earlier draft, identifying any issues with the plot or structure, character development/arcs, and tweaking any wooden/artificial dialogue to ensure it has the ring of authenticity. With his experience of crafting his own books, he knows exactly what goes into making a compelling, page-turning story. And with an eagle eye for detail, he ensures that basic errors like typos or grammatical lapses are identified and removed from the finished manuscript.
In terms of ghost-writing, Neil has written in a wide range of areas, from fictional works to memoir/biographies and self-help books. He can take an outline, research materials, and notes (whether in written or audio form) and turn them into exactly the kind of story/book the client requested. Communication is key when collaborating on any writing project, and Neil prides himself on being available whenever the client wants to discuss any aspect of the project. And being a touch-typist, he can deliver a constant stream of work in a prompt, timely manner.
For the last six years, Neil has been the senior edit at Meerkerk, a growing company known for producing some of the finest website content around. Based in Belgrade, Serbia for three of those years, Neil has been responsible for ensuring that the company delivers high-quality and error-free content that matches (and often exceeds) the client’s expectations. Since joining the team, Neil has worked on a diverse mix of content, including business books and a wide variety of articles, blog posts, some of which required SEO keyword requirements.
If you’re looking for manuscript editing, proofreading, want an enticing book blurb and cover letter written for your approach to literary agents/publishers, or have an idea for a great book that you would like to entrust to a seasoned ghostwriter, don’t hesitate to drop Neil a message.
Neil did an amazing job on this project. He was very professional, efficient, and worked within my budget. Neil finished days ahead of schedule. I am very impressed with his work and intend to work with him on all of my future proofreading/editing. Thank you Neil!
