Rewrite javascript code to work with Foxycart shopping cart

I perfer someone familiar with Foxycart. I have an existing website which uses an older shopping cart format by Americart. I want to change over to Foxycart, which is similar, but uses a slightly different coding structure. I have one page that uses a special proprietary code, it works well and I don't really want to change it. There is javascript written to populate the variable, such as the price, text etc to to the cart.
