Solar Design & Estimation Engineer Location: Borivali East, Mumbai Maharashtra Years Of Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in solar design and cost estimation. Experience with C&I Rooftop and utility-scale projects is preferred. Key Responsibilities: 1 ) System Design: • Conduct site assessments / Site survey to determine the optimal placement of solar panels and associated equipment. • Develop detailed designs for solar PV systems, including electrical 3D Layout, electrical schematics, site layouts, and wiring diagrams. • Utilize solar design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope) to create accurate and efficient system designs. • Ensure designs meet customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. • Prepare Detailed Project Report (DPR). 2) Cost Estimation: • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for solar projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other associated costs during pre-sales and after sales. • Analyze project specifications and requirements to identify potential cost-saving opportunities. • Develop detailed bills of materials (BOM) and procurement lists. • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to obtain accurate pricing information. 3) Project Management Support: • Assist project managers in developing project budgets and schedules. • Monitor project progress and update cost estimates as necessary. • Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases of projects. • Prepare and present project proposals and reports to stakeholders. 4) Technical Analysis: • Perform energy yield assessments of solar projects. • Perform mounting structure stability assessment of solar projects. • Conduct technical due diligence and risk assessments for proposed solar installations. • Stay updated with current advancements in solar technology, industry trends, and regulatory changes. 5) Compliance and Quality Assurance: • Ensure all designs and installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations. • Implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of designs and estimates. • Participate in the development and maintenance of design and estimation standards and best practices.
