I'm looking for a designer to create a chain link that can be used in additive, reductive, or injection molded short production runs. These links will be for chain-hung chandeliers and need to securely hold a 24v to 48v DC circuit with male and female connectors, strictly for powering LEDs.
Key Requirements:
- Use of circular connectors for the chain link.
- High tensile strength materials to ensure the chain link can support up to one hundred pounds.
- Compatibility with multiple finishes, particularly metallics that are commonly seen in lighting stores.
The links must be able to open, close and disassemble/reassemble, allowing users to add or subtract links as needed. I can provide renderings of my basic objectives to assist in the design process. Ideal candidates for this project should have experience in product design, specifically for lighting fixtures. A strong understanding of material properties and finishes will be crucial.
The design can be flexible with dimensions as long as it meets the strength and functionality requirements. high The project will require detailed engineering drawings of the chain links. The chain links must have the following certification(s): UL certification of the upstream transformer.
The initial prototypes should be created with detailed CAD models. We are targeting the final prototype stage and need ready-to-manufacture CAD models. The chain links should follow a basic aesthetic. The chain links should follow a basic aesthetic: simple and understated. The preferred timeline for this project is 1-3 months. The engineering drawings must be highly detailed and precise to ensure accurate manufacturing.
