Project Background:
Client is creating a SDN based service activation layer within their OSS using a Cisco NSO tool
· The Project and Portfolio Delivery (PPD) team work in partnership with the business to deliver projects and portfolios that drive Client’s success. We are brave in what we do, trusted by the business, and creative in our thinking.
The PPD team is responsible for:
• Process optimisation and re-engineering;
• Business delivery and business acceptance of key strategic projects and programmes and training of the operational teams on new technologies;
• The PPD team is organised into key business portfolios, each responsible for project delivery and process transformation;
• The PMO sits within the PPD, guiding the portfolios through the delivery of projects and programmes in line with our project methodologies; the PMO are responsible for providing quality assurance, reports and tools and leading the portfolios through all planning activities.
The Business Analyst’s primary responsibilities:
• Investigate and analyze business activities, processes, and systems.
• Communicate with stakeholders and gather requirements to ensure end products solve business problems.
Key Accountabilities
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
• Capture and analyze requirements with an agile approach in Azure DevOps, documenting and managing them within the agreed framework.
• Map customer journeys across systems and produce As-Is & To-Be process workflows and documentation.
• Challenge business users to identify missing process stages and requirement gaps, leveraging knowledge of telco OSS environments.
• Conduct regular quality reviews with stakeholders and the Client Core Design Team (ITAs, Network Engineers, Network architects), and lead improvements.
• Facilitate interaction between Developers and Client Design Team to eliminate duplicated effort.
• Support the Design Lead / Product Owner in creating business cases and evaluating costs and benefits with business stakeholders.
Requirements Definition and Management
• Define and capture technical requirements.
• Establish acceptance criteria and general criteria for requirements, business processes, features, user stories, and business rules.
• Collaborate with the Agile team to record and guide requirement changes, maintaining documentation in Azure DevOps.
• Support Product Owner/Design Lead on backlog management, negotiating priority rankings of capabilities/requirements.
• Promote adherence to policies and standards, developing new methods for requirements management.
Acceptance Testing
• Assist in developing test plans and triaging defects against original requirements.
• Collaborate with Application Support and IT operations teams to assess operational impacts of changes.
• Design, plan and execute test cases and scenarios to ensure systems, products, business processes meet acceptance criteria and deliver business benefits.
• Analyze and report on test activities, results, issues, and risks.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
• Identify communication and relationship needs of stakeholder groups, translating engagement strategies into specific activities.
• Facilitate open communication and discussion among stakeholders.
• Act as a single point of contact, developing and maintaining stakeholder engagement strategies.
• Facilitate business decision-making processes and capture/disseminate technical and business information.
• Support trainers in transitioning requirements and developments into training collateral, including demos, mock-ups, solution walkthroughs, and work instruction guides.
• Operational experience in delivering telecommunication services.
• Experience in the Telecom/IT sector.
• Familiarity with project tools like Azure DevOps and process modeling tools.
• Experience in business analysis and process authoring tools (e.g., Nimbus, Visio).

• Graduate, MBA - Preferable
• Foundation certificate in Process & Business Analysis (preferred)
• Six Sigma, PRINCE 2 Foundation ( preferred)
• Experience in projects Tool: Azure DevOps, Process modelling tools
• Ability to use analyse and use data using BI Tools (Business Objects, Qlik, Tableau) to underpin solution approaches and benefits realization
• Strong knowledge of BSS/OSS Systems and Solutions (Service Activation, Network Discovery & Reconciliation, Inventory, Service Assurance).
• Knowledge of standard Telecoms Services (e.g., Ethernet Links, IP Connectivity).
• Experience in OSS & Network Orchestration and Activation domain.
• Understanding of API Design Requirements Capture.
• Familiarity with product, service, network, and device models.(Highly desirable)
• Proven track record of successful process or business improvement work, ideally in telecoms.
• Ability to investigate, analyze, and document requirements using standard techniques.
• Capable of managing ambiguity, risk, and changing project directions.
• Attention to detail with a hands-on approach.
• Expertise in creating end-to-end traceability and reviewing test cases, High-Level Designs (HLD), and processes.
