For a minimum duration of 6 months, we are looking for a professional software engineer, preferably located in Valencia, or Spain, used to working in English who has proven experience as a React native engineer.
-/+ 40€/hour according to the experience and test results.
Currently, the app’s first version (MVP) has been launched, providing a foundation for further enhancements.
The next phase of development includes a comprehensive visual overhaul, with a major user interface (UI) update already in preparation. Alongside the visual improvements, the app’s navigation structure and underlying logic will undergo significant changes to align with a redesigned user experience crafted by the in-house design team.
Key objectives for this phase include:
· Improved usability: Ensuring the app is intuitive and user-friendly for field professionals, even in challenging environments like construction sites.
· Enhanced navigation: Redesigning the navigation flow to make core features more accessible and reduce user friction.
· Robust logic updates: Refactoring the app’s internal workflows to improve performance, scalability, and adaptability to future requirements.
This project involves close collaboration within a small, focused team of React Native developers, product owner and designers to ensure seamless integration of design, development, and user feedback. The ultimate goal is to deliver a state of the art mobile solution that elevates quality assurance processes and supports our customers, industry professionals, in their day-to-day operations on site.
Tech Stack and Development Environment
· Frameworks & Languages: The app is built using React Native with TypeScript for type-safe, efficient development.
· Repository Management: Code is managed through Azure DevOps, ensuring streamlined version control and collaboration.
· API Management: Apollo/GraphQL is used to efficiently handle API calls, providing a flexible and scalable data-fetching solution.
· Testing: Currently, no dedicated testing tools are in place, presenting an opportunity to enhance development quality with future testing strategies.
· Deployment: The app is currently deployed via AppCenter, but with its deprecation on the horizon, we are planning to migrate the deployment process to an Azure DevOps pipeline for continued stability and efficiency.
· Analytics: User interactions and performance metrics are tracked using Datadog and Segment, enabling actionable insights for ongoing improvements.
· State Management: Context Hooks are utilized for generic state management. However, there is a desire to transition to Redux for more complex and scalable state-handling capabilities when resources allow.
· Offline Functionality: Offline capabilities are implemented using custom Apollo Links, tailored to meet the app’s specific requirements.
· Drawings and Visual Mapping: Mapbox is integrated for handling drawings and geospatial features, offering advanced mapping functionality suited for the app’s needs.
The backend should be developed using "technologies specified in the description."
