This project consists of two smaller, but interrelated, tasks that involve automating the processing of CSV files. Both tasks require the creation and implementation of scripts that operate on our website and are supported by scheduled cron jobs. It should not be to difficult. If any questions let me know. Full FTP and website access will be provided upon awarding the project. Part 1: Automating FTP File Handling Objective: Develop a script to automate the retrieval, renaming, and replacement of a CSV file from an FTP source. Requirements: Create a script that: Connects to a specified FTP source (plain ftp) and retrieves a CSV file named Artikelbestand - K14113.csv. Renames the file to [login to view URL] while maintaining its original content. Replaces any existing [login to view URL] file on our server with the newly downloaded version. Schedule the script to run every six hours using a cron job. Deliverables: Fully functional script installed on the specified website. A cron job configured to execute the script every six hours. Note: You will be informed of the specific folder or website location where the script should be installed. Part 2: Automating URL File Handling and Data Transformation Objective: Develop a script to retrieve a CSV file from a fixed URL, modify specific values in the file, and save the transformed file to the server. Requirements: Create a script that: Retrieves a CSV text file from a specified URL. Processes the file by modifying the values in column AE as follows: STOCK → 200 TO ORDER → 0 EXPECTED → 0 EOL → 0 OLD → 0 Saves the modified file to the server under the name [login to view URL], retaining all other column data unchanged. Schedule the script to run automatically using a cron job. Deliverables: Fully functional script installed on the specified website. A cron job configured for automated execution. Note: You will be informed of the specific folder or website location where the script should be installed. General Responsibilities for Both Parts: Develop and install the required scripts. Configure the cron jobs for automated execution. Ensure all scripts and processes are thoroughly tested and fully functional. Provided Resources: FTP credentials and full access to the target website will be shared upon project award.
