I need assistance in configuring Master-Slave replication on my server setup. I have 4 Ubuntu Linodes, with two running MySQL and two running MsSQL. All servers currently have databases running, and these databases are identical across the pairs of servers. I want to keep them in sync. THE MySQL PART. My MySQL Servers are ubuntu servers running MySQL 8. CLI Interface only. I have setup MasterSlave replication between the master and slave and it works. However, when replication fails, there is nothing in place for recovery. I've installed Percon Toolkit on both the master and the slave. The plan is to use Replication Status Monitor (run on the slave to monitor replication status). Schema Change Handling (apply schema changes if detected using pt-online-schema-change). Data Consistency Check (run checksums using pt-table-checksum). Data Synchronization (use pt-table-sync to correct differences). Replication Restart (restart the replication process if necessary). I want this setup as a Cron job that checks, and then executes the necessary processes to ensure replication is up and running. THE MSSQL PART My MsSQL servers are on ubuntu as well. CLI Interface only. These don't need a replication process. I need a job on the Master that runs to push data to the slave once an hour for about 5 hours in the evening. I have an sql file for a similar job that updates the master (from a server I don't control) . So that file can be used/ tweaked to update the slave.

Hello I have relevant experience working with MySQL replication. I have Percona XtraDB master-master replication and MariaDB master-slave replications. Both are MySQLs on Linux machines with Ubuntu 20.04 Do you have proper ssh access to the servers so we can configure and start replications? Do your servers have enough disk space to make backups of databases? I must aware you, that initial start of replications can be a bit longer - especially for slaves, are you ok with that?
