Hello – and thank you for READING CAREFULLY before submitting a quote please!
I have a three-storey house designed in Revit (in 3D).
I also have some photos of a staircase concept that I would like to use in the house. The photos explain the design intent only, and I need an experienced architect or interior designer to tweak and massage the concept so it fits and works nicely within the area of the house that we've set aside for the grand staircase.
Please note the aim is NOT to provide 3D renders or photo-realistic images of a staircase.
The aim is to DESIGN a staircase that fits in the space, based on the design intent. This means designing the tread shapes, sizes, placement and angles. And the balustrade size, type, shape and placement. Also how the underside of the staircase flows and turns.
So this is a job for an ARCHITECT or INTERIOR DESIGNER who also happens to be really good at modelling their designs using 3D software so I can understand the design. If you have any experience designing staircases, that would also be very helpful.
I can provide a 3D CAD file showing the stair treads at their correct levels.
As you design, I will provide feedback such as "turn that run of 6 steps by 5 degrees counter clockwise". Or "move the whole staircase closer to the north wall", or "make that landing a little more triangular", or "recess the balustrade into the wall", etc., etc.
Note that someone has already tried to do this for me, but it was difficult to get it looking nice and smooth using Revit, Sketchup and 3DS Max. For example, the balustrades and the underside of the stairs looked rough. So I couldn't imagine what it will look like in reality nor what the builder will actually build. So maybe we need to use a different type of 3D software that is more suitable for this type of detailed, smooth, granular design? (and which can export a 3D DWG file to be imported into the Revit model of the house).
Thank you.
