As a start-up company, I am seeking for an experienced freelance software tester to thoroughly test my newly developed web and mobile care management system. This system is designed to enable care companies and carers to effectively manage and deliver care to service users. The ideal candidate will have expertise in testing both web and mobile applications, with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of quality assurance best practices. Please see descriptions below. The Role • Able to work as a sole Tester, deep understanding of software development & Testing life cycle, have extensive experience in manual and automation testing. • You will be a key technical individual to build testing framework, responsible for implementation and execution of automated test suites, testing all features, identifying risks and raising them in a timely manner. • Have a good understanding of the product requirement and design of the solution. • Develop test strategies, execute tests including manual and automation testing • Build test-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, bug reports for the application. • Extensive experience for building test automation frameworks from scratch using frameworks such as Selenium with Java for UI. • As a Java Test Engineer, you will build automation framework from scratch and take ownership of testing and validating all features. • Good communication skills. Duties: o Perform UI Testing (Must be Automation): Hybrid Framework using Java with Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber BDD and data-driven. o Carryout Mobile Testing (Manual or Automation) o You will perform Backend and API testing (Manual or Automation) e.g. postman, Java rest-assured, PostgreSQL or MySQL etc. o You will carry out Compatibility testing o You will perform Non – Functional Testing such as Load, stress and Security Testing including Penetration Testing. o Experience writing integration and end to end tests o Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback o Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases o Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools o Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs o Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved o Liaise with team (e.g. developers and product owner) to identify system requirements o Monitor debugging process results o Solid knowledge of Java & SQL and scripting o JMeter for load tests o Selenium/Web Driver for end-to-end testing The project needs to start immediately and has an urgent timeline. The testing should target both the web and mobile platforms. Mobile testing should target iOS and Android.
