I am looking for a Shopify developer to create a custom functionality on my Shopify store. The goal is to allow customers to view product test certificates for my products using a batch number printed on each product. The functionality should be gated behind a customer login and encourage newsletter subscription. Project Requirements: Customer Login Requirement: The certificate lookup page should be accessible only to logged-in customers. If a customer is not logged in, they should be prompted to create an account or log in. Batch Number & Product Selection Form: Create a form where the customer can input the batch number (printed on the product) and select the product from a dropdown menu, the dropdown menu must be populated based on the products within Shopify store and must have a search bar for the user to easily find their product. Based on the batch number and product selection, the correct test certificate (PDF) should be displayed. Ensure certificates are linked to each batch number and product, happy to use file naming conventions to allow for this. Newsletter Subscription Encouragement: During account creation, provide an option to subscribe to the newsletter. Optionally integrate with a service like Klaviyo for managing email subscriptions. Admin Functionality: Provide a simple way for the store admin to upload new test certificates and link them to specific batch numbers and products. Can do this through file naming conventions as well, ex. [login to view URL] Certificates can be stored on Shopify's backend or AWS S3. Design & User Experience: Ensure the functionality integrates seamlessly with the existing store design. The form and customer login should be user-friendly and mobile-responsive. Key Deliverables: A working test certificate lookup form on the Shopify store gated behind customer login. Admin functionality to easily upload and manage certificates. Integration with newsletter subscription during account creation. Full documentation on how the system works and how to manage the certificates. Hello, I read your e-commerce requirements. All the changes you mentioned are possible. We will create a private custom Shopify app for your store. Admin will be able to upload PDFs against batch numbers.. Alternatively, if every product already has a batch number then we can use that data and create a metafield to store the corresponding PDF. There is no need to manipulate filenames. On the front-end, customers can sign up and by default they will see newsletter checkbox ticked. And they can untick as well. On submitting the sign up form, they will become a Shopify customer and also added to Klaviyo list. We can add a tag to these customers if you like, this helps in remarketing and segmenting this userbase.
