We are currently seeking an experienced marketing communicator, storyteller, and content creator to join our team as a Freelance B2B Content Writer.
This role offers 10-20 hours of work per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent position should your projects achieve the expected results.
The candidate should be able to work from our office in Montreal at least once a week and be available to work outside of regular business hours occasionally.
Our ideal candidate is a prolific and adaptable content guru who understands the significance of producing insightful and valuable content. They must also be able to efficiently repurpose and tailor content for various platforms, audiences, and purposes while monitoring its effectiveness. This performance-driven role requires a keen ability to quickly identify and create high-impact, high-return content that aligns with organizational goals.

Your Mission:
As a Freelance Content Writer, you will be assigned specific projects where you will be responsible for crafting engaging copy that resonates with our audiences, sparks meaningful interactions, and effectively positions our brand in the market.
You will collaborate closely with our CEO and our sales team to ensure that all written content aligns with project goals, supports digital marketing, demand generation, and lead nurturing, and drives audience engagement.
We need to generate results quickly, so in this position, you’ll need to balance short-term objectives with long-term strategies.
Your Responsibilities:
+ Write and produce a variety of short and long-form content, including blogs, newsletters, landing pages, articles, sales collaterals, emails, case studies, white papers, banners, and LinkedIn posts.
+ Publish and manage content effectively.
+ Create SEO-optimized content across various digital and offline platforms to enhance visibility and drive organic traffic.
+ Build and manage a content calendar designed to attract and engage a qualified audience.
+ Conduct research and interviews with subject matter experts to brainstorm topics and establish key messages.
+ Monitor and analyze content performance metrics to refine strategies for continuous improvement.
+ Work with stakeholders, including freelance graphic designers and video producers, to elevate content quality.
+ Ensure all content maintains a distinct and clear brand voice in alignment with our target audiences.
Your Qualifications:
+ Proven experience as a content writer or in a similar role, preferably in B2B marketing (5+ years preferred).
+ Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English, with the ability to adapt style and tone for various formats.
+ Strong understanding of SEO best practices and experience in content optimization.
+ Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
+ Experience testing and optimizing responsive landing pages and emails.
+ Proficient in researching various topics and conducting interviews with clients.
+ Familiarity with marketing automation applications, particularly HubSpot.
+ Experience with Google Analytics and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush) is essential, as well as experience with LinkedIn.
+ BA/BS degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
+ Knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and experience with [login to view URL] is a plus.
+ Proficiency in French is an asset, as we operate in a bilingual environment, but this job will require only English content writing.
