It must fold in half to stow and when deployed, allow access from the ground from a minimum height of 2350mm. The crane cabin access can be higher once the crane is set up on its outriggers, thus the ladder may not be able to reach the ground at all times. It must be able to be self-supporting at this stage and hold a minimum of 150kg loading on the ladder at an angle of 70 degrees when self-supported. We currently have a medium duty and a heavy-duty access ladder which it would be advantageous if we can develop a bi-folding powered versions of these ladders, utilizing the same type/size materials.
