I need a digital audio equalizer designed and implemented, with thorough testing as the top priority. The equalizer should have a minimum of 3 frequency bands: bass, midrange, and treble. This system will enable users to adjust the frequency response of an audio signal by either boosting or reducing specific frequency bands using finite impulse response (FIR) filters.
Key aspects of the project:
- The equalizer should be capable of processing MP3 audio format.
- The design should be clear and comprehensible, with the focus on robustness and accuracy in the implementation.
- The interface can be either a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a Command Line Interface (CLI), although I have no specific preference for one over the other.
Ideal skills for this project:
- Proficiency in MATLAB or Python.
- Experience in designing digital audio processing systems.
- Knowledge of FIR filter application and audio frequency band processing.
- Strong testing and debugging skills to ensure thorough and comprehensive evaluation of the system.
