Project Overview:
I'm looking for a creative designer to create a modern and eye-catching packaging design for my new coffee product, Rivel Estate Arabica Supremo.
The design should stand out on store shelves and AMAZON amongst the competitors and clearly communicate the high-quality, specialty nature of this Costa Rican coffee.
Dimensions of the packaging:
Flat Bottom Zipper Coffee Bag (135mm x 265mm x 76mm)
Design Requirements:
Modern Aesthetic: Clean and modern design with a clear hierarchy of information. Charcoal Gray as the main color with white writing and punches of yellow to match logo. See the inspiration photo but feel free to provide alternative options.
Branding:
Prominent placement of Hotel Rivel logo (provided) - does not have to be the main focus, but it's important that it's on there.
Consistent use of color scheme and fonts for brand recognition.
Coffee Focus:
Not required but suggest an image of coffee beans or a cup of brewed coffee.
Clearly state the coffee type (e.g., whole bean, )
Origin & Roast:
Highlight the origin: Costa Rica, and this is a specialty estate coffee (Rivel Estate)
Specify the roast level: "Medium Roast" but we will use the words "Golden Roast"
Flavor Profile: Include descriptive words like "Citrus Stone Fruit," "Honey Nut," "Chocolate Caramel," and "Floral Sugar Cane."
Processing Method:
Briefly explain the "honey processing" method without implying a honey flavor. Include icons or text for washed, honey, and natural processing methods, highlighting "honey" as the chosen method.
Certifications:
Include logos for "Bird Friendly," "FairTrade," "Non GMO Verified," "Kosher," and the unique "volcano soil" logo which isn't a certification but does emphasize the coffee is grown in rich soil.
Include a logo representing the project's non-profit nature ("direct impact") - see inspiration picture
Credibility and Trust:
Clear labelling with net weight (16 oz, 1lb, or 454g) and brewing instructions.
Additional Information:
Many references have been attached, showing the Costa Rica flag design and keyword placement.

Flavour profile: There is only ONE product. The coffee in question has four different notes that can be detected by an experienced person. The designer has to find a way to describe the flavour profile of the coffee which can be described as "Honey Nut, Chocolate Caramel, Floral Sugar Cane, & Citrus Stone Fruit" - icons can be used to indicate the "notes" or "taste" of the coffee, maybe 2 rows of 4 icons in the back of the bag which could illustrate what elements can be tasted, "honey, nut, chocolate, caramel, Citrus, Stone Fruit, Flower, Sugar Cane" etc...

Colors: Thus far, Black, White, and Gold/Brown appear to be the best. Reminder that the bag should stand out from a list of other coffee but also should make the shopper feel that this is a premium brand from Costa Rica. Costa Rica is a very strong selling point.

Certifications: we will not have time to obtain official certifications. Therefore, we will simply add generic declarations without using certified and official logos. Here are the images/icons I want displayed on the bag:
- Direct Impact (design is flexible)
- Volcanic Soil (already provided design, can be reused)
- KOSHER (just the word is acceptable, with no certification, coffee = kosher)

LASTLY: finalist should absolutely submit a "back of package" - if you'd like to use text from the website, you can do that, I can provide final text to the person who wins the contest but the back of the package should include more information about the coffee or the property. You can find all the information at www.hotelrivel.online/rivel-estate-arabica-supremo and it's all about the design, it does not have to be full of words, it can use cool design with icons and different facts about the property, not just coffee, you can do whatever you want here as long as it's complete and the package is ready. Hi everyone! I personally love that many people are submitting AI designs - there are some really great ideas and some really great results. The smart people will incorporate some of the AI designs and will copy those designs and ensure the elements mentioned in the descriptions are included. For example, I asked that the costa rican flag be prominent and some designs include the flag down the side of the bag, which is very cool. I have ranked the submissions already.

nobody is fooling me - I can clearly see what is AI and what is real. That being said, I do love some of the AI designs. Please see the AI designs for inspiration. If I were you, I would look at the best designs and use that as a template and ensure the other element are included that I included in the descriptions.
