Hello,
As you will see below, I'm about as experienced with EDI as it is possible to be.
I'm Canadian, but worked for NLM (National Logistics Management) in Detroit, MI for almost 10 years, where I designed, built and managed their entire EDI program which grew from nothing to more than 110 different customer/ transaction set combinations. The car companies and freight companies were updated in real time via EDI, plus most billing, invoicing, health care etc. was also done via EDI.
I designed, wrote, and built an EDI translator specifically for NLM using Delphi, SQL Server, ISAPI .dlls etc., as well as managed the entire EDI systems for 8 years. Our customers were GM, Chrysler, Ford, and about 25 of their Tier One Suppliers, plus many others. I've had experience integrating to many VANs. I have implemented dozens of EDI transaction sets. In total, I implemented over 110 EDI Transaction Sets for NLM.
I designed and built a suite of more than 30 programs and windows services including: EDI translator, automated EDI file generator, EDI management program, Web modules, Web services, document management, full featured billing program, reporting software and automated EDI, Excel, Text, and flat files.
I also have an EDI framework I call "EDI Magic" that can be used to to build a complete EDI system customized to your system. It includes an EDI admin program.
Cheers,
Brad Gies
