Project Overview: We are seeking a skilled freelance developer to create an image processing plugin for a PHP web application. The plugin will be designed to take images via an API and return identified data points. Specifically, the plugin will capture images of 6 different types of IDs, processing both the front and back sides.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop an image processing plugin for a PHP-based web application.
Implement API integration to receive images and return processed data.
Capture and process images of 6 different types of IDs, handling both front and back sides.
Extract and identify data points from the images, ensuring high accuracy and reliability.
Test the plugin thoroughly to ensure it meets performance and security standards.
Provide documentation and support for the integration and use of the plugin.
Requirements:
Proven experience in developing PHP-based plugins and web applications.
Strong knowledge of image processing techniques and libraries (e.g., OpenCV, GD, ImageMagick).
Experience with OCR tools such as Tesseract to extract text from images.
Experience with API development and integration.
Familiarity with handling and processing various types of ID documents.
Ability to ensure data security and privacy in the processing of sensitive information.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with machine learning models for image recognition.
Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) for deploying image processing applications.
Previous work on similar projects or within the document verification domain.
