We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design and development of cooling jackets for camera systems used in extreme environments. The primary focus will be to design a cooling jacket capable of withstanding temperatures up to 300°C while ensuring that the camera operates efficiently and reliably. This role demands strong expertise in thermal analysis, insulation design, mechanical simulations, and ensuring compliance with ATEX and PESO safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cooling Jacket Design: Design and develop a cooling jacket for camera systems that must function in environments with temperatures up to 300°C.
Thermal Analysis: Conduct detailed thermal analysis and simulations to ensure the cooling system can maintain the camera's operational temperature within the specified range.
Insulation Analysis: Analyze and select appropriate insulation materials and methods to ensure maximum thermal resistance and safety.
Simulation and Modeling: Use CAD software and thermal simulation tools to model the cooling jacket and predict performance under various conditions.
Material Selection: Identify and recommend materials that can withstand high temperatures, are durable, and meet ATEX/PESO standards.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with ATEX (Atmosphères Explosibles) and PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization) safety standards.
Prototype Development: Lead the prototyping phase, including hands-on testing and iterative design improvements.
Testing and Validation: Develop and execute testing protocols to validate the design under real-world conditions.
Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering reports, design documentation, and user manuals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of the cooling jacket with the camera system.
Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure on-time completion of design projects.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in cooling technologies and thermal management systems, and apply these learnings to improve designs.
