I have a small project which is a dll which I inject into a process which uses hooks, to detect when the mouse is pressed for more than 3 seconds. When that happens a request is made to an api that takes about 5 seconds to respond, the code works fine but the mouse gets slow until the response from the api arrives, I would like this not to happen, I have tried to implement another thread for the request but I have not been able to. When executing exactly this line: res = curl_easy_perform(curl); the mouse slows down until the api response is returned.
