The server is used as a HTTP server to host a 20 (twenty) years old php hit tracker script. I rent a separate server that hosts the MYSQL databases so the http server sends DB connection requests to a separate server for database requests. I noticed that before the HTTP server is going down the number of concurrent connection to DB was 136. Then after reboot of http server, the number of concurrent connections went down from 136 to 56. I suspect something causes an accumulation of concurrent connection requests and overloads the http server that crashes but I am not a server admin. When I try ...
