This report demonstrates the use of Valeport instruments for acquiring and processing oceanographic data related to salinity, temperature, depth, current velocity, and direction in an estuarine environment. By using the Von Kármán-Prandtl approach, we estimated important parameters like roughness length and bed shear stress, these are critical for understanding sediment transport and ecosystem health. Furthermore, the report highlighted the significant issue of plastic pollution in coastal environments and its interaction with oceanographic processes, drawing on case studies to illustrate these effects.
